Hi,
I'm currently investigating megacli and Cmdtool2 and I want to know what is the difference between the two ? Are they identical and Cmdtool2 is just a wrapper around megacli or their implementation is different ? Also, does anyone know what is the performance of both the utility ?
Thanks
Vaibhav

Vaibhav,
The Storage Command Line Tool (StorCLI) is a new tool with new features and capabilities and is controller backwards compatible to replace CmdTool2. StorCLI is command line management software adapted from legacy 3Ware and LSI* MegaCLI for the Intel® RAID product line. StorCLI allows for the same features as Intel® RAID Web Console 2 implemented without the Graphical User Interface.
We provide the StorCLI tool as a component with the firmware downloads for our 12G RAID controllers.
Regards,
John
