How to speed up processor? Have 2 computers with same hardware and one is much slower. Hardware is Intel Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz w/hyperthreading & 4 GB Memory. Speed ratios are 2/1 between 2 computers.

How to speed up the slow computer?? The hardware is the same between the 2 computers I have and one is 4 times faster. Hardware is Inter (R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz w/ Hyperthreading with clock speed of 3.0 GHz, Bus speed of 800 MHz 1 MB Cache and 4 GB memory.

If the hardware is identical, then the slowness is coming from somewhere else - maybe the software? Do you have the same types of OSes and programs installed on each?

Also, since this is the server community, it'll help to know which server boards you're running these on. Sometimes a BIOS or other firmware will be outdated, and causing slowness.
