I'm new at this techie stuff and would like some advice please. I just built my first computer and installed Vista on it and for the first couple of days everything was just fine, BUT after a while I started getting a pop up on boot-up that reads "Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT) status: Disabled. To enable or disable Intel AMT, contact your authorized system administrator." What does this mean? Do I need to enable it? If so how? And how do get rid of the icon on my task bar?

Check out http://software.intel.com/en-us/manageability/ http://software.intel.com/en-us/manageability/ - http://software.intel.com/sites/manageability/introduction-intel-amt/run.html Online Training: Intel® Active Management Technology. There's also a discussion group over there, who can probably answer better than I.
