Intel® Server Board S5500WB 12V

Hi,

Recently I picked up a used board Intel® Server Board S5500WB, little did I knew this board as 12V version. I thought its going to be another board with standard power connector, I could use a high power ATX PSU to supply it.

Now how can I power up the motherboard ? I have a PSU which has dual 12V output. Is that all needed to start the board ?

I wanted this system with dual xenon and 16GB RAM for video encoding.

Thank you for your help.

regards,

Dwija

Hello Dwija, thanks a lot for posting your question at Intel communities.

I would like to inform you that I have moved your post to the Server Community at the following URL /community/tech/servers https://communities.intel.com/community/tech/servers

Regarding you question it looks like an Auxiliary power connector is also needed. Please check this link. At the bottom you will be able to see a box that says "Making connections to the server Board… Quick Reference"
