I'm using aspeed BMC to dump MSR registers via PECI.
In aspeed PECI controller driver, it checks if the FCS values are as expected.
For write commands, it also check if the FCS values are not 0x00.
As a result, some transactions return error values because their FCS values are 0x00.
However after I removed the checking for 0x00, the MSR registers can be dumped well.
Is it OK to just remove the checking in the driver?
Thanks in advance.

Hello roberthong,
Thank you for contacting Intel Technical Support
We understand you have some questions related to the PECI controller driver for a ASPEED BMC on a QSMC Switch Board. By any chance have you contacted Aspeed or QSMC (Quanta) about this question? Since this is a 3rd party board and driver, the OEM is better qualified to provide you with such details. Intel should be more than glad to assist with Xeon pertaining information. Please let us know if you have further questions related to the Xeon processor.
Regards
Jose A.
