Memory Power Delivery on M50CYP2SB board

Hello everyone, 

 

I am currently using a M50CYP2SB board with two Intel® Xeon® Gold 6338 CPUs and are having a couple of questions regarding how power is delivered to the memory (namely VDD and VPP of DDR-4):

 

The Icelake CPUs have an integrated voltage regulator (IVR) for powering the CPU cores and other on-socket components but the DIMM memory is powered through separate voltage-regulators on the mainboard. However, as stated in the electrical specification [1], a 1.2V power line named V_CCD goes into the CPU and is described as "Power Supply for the processor system memory interface". As far as I understand this, this means that V_CCD powers the integrated memory controller. Is this correct?

 

My main question now is if the memory DIMMs are powered by the same V_CCD lane? Or, in other words,  is the V_CCD regulated by the same VRMs that also power the memory DIMMs?

 

The second question is if there are any datasheets on the efficiency of the voltage regulators used on the M50CYP2SB  available?
