Hi all,
I am building a PC for my buddy who doesn't have a PC. Its a modest build, and I wanted to challenge myself a bit by using all recycled parts (picked and then purchased used/new-other online) and building it as a wall-mounted PC. Here are the parts I went with:
MB: SuperMicro X8SIE-F
CPU: Intel Xeon X3470
RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) Micron MT36JSZF51272PDZ-1G1F1AB x8 DDR3 RDIMM
SSD: Samsung 128GB OEM SSD
GPU: Nvidia GTX 645 (which is a rebranded GTX 560 SE)
PSU: 600W Hercules small-form
With everything put together, here's what I get after powering-on:
1. Power on (MB power LED lit)
2. Fans power
3. No beeps, no video, nothing else
The only other light on the MB besides the power is the IPMU heartbeat LED indicating normal. I've tried connecting the monitor through both onboard video and through the GTX 645 (using a jumper on the board to enable/disable onboard video). I've also swapped the RAM around and tried with 2 instead of 4.
I could really use some help, I think I'm a skosh out of my league on this one...Thanks.
