We have S2600GZ based Intel server and I have another server S2600WTR. Since S2600WTR has huge fan noise issues, I was thinking to move the processor from S2600WTR which has Intel Xeon CPU E5-2630 v3 @2.40GHz to S2600GZ which has Intel CPU E5-2609 0. Just wanted to check if there is a compatibility between these two boards.

Hello ibrahim52,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
Due to this product Intel® Server Board S2600GZ has been discontinued, Intel Customer Service no longer supports inquiries for it, but perhaps fellow community members have the knowledge to jump in and help. You may also find the Discontinued Products website helpful to address your request.
Upon checking some documentation: S2600GZ/GL Configuration Guide

The Intel® Server Board S2600WT has a different socket type (LGA2011-3) and the Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-2630 v3 as well LGA2011-3.
