I have an http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/server-products/server-boards/dual-socket-server-boards/intel-server-board-s2600wt-family/intel-server-board-s2600wt2r.html Intel® Server Board S2600WT2R
I have set the Memory Operating Speed in the bios to 2400, but dmidecode reports that "Configured Clock Speed: 2134 MHz". If I set the clock speed in the bios below 2133, the clock speed changes appropriately. I have been through the http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/motherboards/server/sb/intelserversystembiossetuputilityguide10_final.pdf BIOS manual and I believe I've set everything up properly.
I know what my RAM (http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR24R17D4_16.pdf Kingston KVR24R17D4/16) is not on the http://www.cmtlabs.com/2012/memCertPartSearchResultsAll.asp?bNav=True&sManuf=Intel&outside=False&sMN=S2600wt&oSubmit=Search Approved Memory List.
Thank you for your time.

Hello kevlarjacket,
Let me share with you the board Technical Product Specification document that you can download from the following URL: http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/server-boards/S2600WT_TPS_R1_4.pdf http://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/server-products/server-boards/S2600WT_TPS_R1_4.pdf
From page 22 you will find the Memory Subsystem information and the population rules. Just as a hint the memory max transfer clock speed depends on the processor version so 2400 MT/s is only supported on Xeon E5-2600v4 family processors.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Jose, my server is using a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2690 v3 CPU, which is limiting my RAM clock speed.
