Hi!
I want to buy Xeon L3110 to put it on my Gigabyte main board GA-EP45-DS5
(socket 775 -- 45nm -- P45/ICH10R -- 1600/1333/1066/800 MHz FSB....)
I think they are compatible each other..correct?
thanks
max

You'd have to check on Gigabyte's website, to see what processors that board supports. I don't think Intel keeps a list of what non-Intel boards are compatible with each processor, since there are so many.

It is clear,
because Intel agrees that user buys an intel mobo, but other brands are now well established ..
I rather think that an examination of the compatibility of the Xeon, is something economically good for Intel, because it would lead enthusiast users to spend more money more willingly for a Xeon..and is a significant market share for a list made incomplete ..
