I have an intel server which was running sata disks in ide mode in the bios, we lost some data and in order to get back up, we put in a new disk and reimaged server. When new disk was put in the bios per intels recommendation was changed to ihca mode, because of an incompatibility with the optical drive. Bear in mind this server ran for 6 months no problems.
Now we need to recover data from the old disks... does anyone know of a way this can be done? it had windows SBS 2008 server installed. Any help or recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you talking about rebuilding a RAID? Or just pulling data off a drive that crashed? The latter, the only way I know is to pay someone to do data recovery on it.
