I have a new s1200splr build in a custom case and I changed some fans from being on motherboard headers to a separate controller that does not connect to the motherboard. Now I am getting system health warnings as the bios still has the fans listed and they show as 0 rpm since they are no longer attached to the motherboard.
Where do I edit what fans are installed as part of the system? Is there a way to download the Current SDR settings? I found how to upload an SDR for the motherboard.

Hello ambient,
Thank you for contacting Intel® Technical Support.
Regarding to your questions:
Is there a way to download the Current SDR settings?Yes, you can download the current SDR setting from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27240/Intel-Server-Board-S1200SP-BIOS-and-Firmware-Update-Package-for-EFI?product=43715 here. This is the BIOS and Firmware Update Package for EFI to use with the Intel® Server Board S1200SP.
Where do I edit what fans are installed as part of the system?
You can go ahead and run the firmware update you can manually configure the SDR, you select the other chassis and when it prompt you for the fan settings you select no in order to disable the fan headers. For more information you can review the https://downloadmirror.intel.com/27240/eng/ReleaseNotes_BMC_1.10.10925_.txt Release Note.
Please let me know if you need more help, more than glad to assist you.

While not ideal having to re update the entire bios to change the settings, this did work. The big issue with this method is if anyone else needs to ever make changes they physically would have to check the server for what is connected if they are not using an intel server case.
