We just bought a 37 inch LCD HDTV for the conference room and have it hooked to an old Compaq with the Intel 82815 Grahics Controler.
Hooked to a normal CRT we can set the resolution up to 1280x1024 and maintain that with the HDTV by hot switching the cable.
But if we re-boot the PC we can only get the HDTV to display 800x600.
I think we have the latest 82815 driver.
I understand that we may need new "Monitor Definitions" or "Plug & Play Monitor Table" but we get no help from the manufacturer. They tell us to get new video card.
This is for the Olevia LCD HDTV with a VGA input. The TV/Monitor works and looks great but we would like to be able to boot up to high def w/o having to boot to the old monitor and swap cables.
Anyone have any idea's ??
thanks.
