Dear All,
I am trying to get 1440x900 resolution on my Viewsonic VA1912w, which is its native, but fail to do so.
I read and read information, threads and posts on the internet, but nothing worked. Here is what I tried.
Installed the Custom driver from here:
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?strState=LIVE〈=eng&ProductID=2102&DwnldID=15559
Install the driver after extracting it with a special command parameter:
setup.exe -b -s -nolic -overwrite -res 1440x900x32x60
None of these worked. I still am unable to see the 1440x900 resolution in the settings. I also tried installing the monitor's driver, but didnt help.
I then downloaded moninfo, and launched it wishing to get the EDID for the monitor, and then fixing up the .inf file, but I was unable to get it. Moninfo shows nothing related to the monitor, only its name, etc.
Anything would help,
Thanks
Ben
