I am running Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy) with the "intel" driver via my xorg.conf and have set the PageFlip and TripleBuffer options in my Device section, but I still see GL applications appear to not be synchonized to a page flip - and I see shearing :(
I hope I am in the right section. Do I need to install or re-configure mesa in any way? I haven't had the desire to compile the driver from source because I would think Ubuntu has a somewhat recent version:
ii xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13.4
Cheers,
Kristopher Ives

Sorry, wrong forum. This is the place to go:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel
If you installed more recent versions of the intel driver like 2.3.2
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/xorg-announce/2008-June/000589.html
then you may report upstream.
In either case: I liked to all open bugs. Check whether it's known first before posting and if yes, then follow possible workarounds mentioned in the bugtracker.
