Hello fellow devs,
Anybody seen any reasonably priced RealSense laptops/tablets yet? Note, I mean actually shipping and not pre-order, and running Windows not Android. If you have, please leave make and model number or a link. Also, I'm only referring to those with the F200 camera like that we used in the contest. Not the "snapshot" something or other.
Thanks.

I can't see RealSense being released on a Windows tablet, as Intel are clearly only pushing for mobiles to use the Android version of the camera. However, there are a couple of examples of RealSense laptops. Whether they are reasonably priced is for you to decide. :)
HP Envy - $949
Acer Aspire V17 Nitro (couldn't find price - one site suggested $1560)

Thanks Marty and Vidysagar. I guess it's a laptop purchase then because I believe the Android SDK ship date is still uncertain? I really like the tablet form factor for the RealSense camera. I think that's a definite win. Maybe Microsoft will go ahead and make a surface with the RealSense camera using Windows, if I'm lucky.

Let's hope for the best. There are less chances as Microsoft would be more interested in enhancing their Kinect SDK.But there are chances.Anything is possible Robert.

I think the cheapest that you can get today is to buy the RealSense camera (about $100), and buy the Asus T100 (about $300) for a total of about $400...
That configuration will allow raw access to the camera, but since it comes with Windows 8.1 32 bits (instead of 64), some parts of the SDK will not work. You can get all the 3 raw streams, depth, IR, and color, and even the XYZ 3D information correctly, but not the face / hands tracking functionality.

@samontab. Thanks for the info. I wonder if the camera is actually shipping now? Also if it is, if it's the developer version only or if there is a consumer facing version now? Hopefully someone from Intel chimes in here.

The camera is delivered on demand and availability in your region.Your request is queued and will be processed later. So its better to wait for actual devices with in-built depth-sense camers.
