Greetings. We have a simulation that we run on NT4, Pentium III machines (as well as on Alphas and a Linux cluster using the same source code.) It's time to buy a new box and I'd like to try using an Athlon precessor. Does anyone know of any differences between using 6.1A on an Athlon machine with NT4 versus Win 2000? By differences, I'm most interested in compiler problems, but also speed. I haven't seen mention of anything in my search of the news groups and the like, which is good, so this is my last check.
Our code crashes using 6.5A. We've taken this up with VF support, and we need to follow up on this, but for now we don't have the time and are sticking with 6.1A.
Regards,
Douglass.

You've written to vf-support? I don't recognize the problem - what is the report number?
From 6.1's perspective, an Athlon is like a Pentium II. I know of no differences between NT 4 and W2K here.
