Automation of avatar walk animation in RealSense and Unity

Hi everyone,

Below is a video of the automated avatar walking system that my company has engineered for RealSense in Unity.  Our game avatar walks forwards with legs swinging back and forward naturally when the head is lifted slightly in front of the camera, and stops when the head is dropped back down to face-forward.

Our avatar's legs can also lift up and down and swing left-right when standing on the spot.  Whilst it is possible to make the avatar walk forwards as the player walks forwards in the real world (similar to the Valve Vive room-VR system), we also created this auto-walk system for the majority of players who will be playing whilst seated.

We have added the first iteration of head-based left and right directional steering to our avatar so that it can now travel in any horizontal direction.
