I have openned an issue on github https://github.com/01org/cordova-plugin-intel-xdk-device/issues/1
We went deeper to XDK logs and found out:
- Crosswalk with native intel.xdk.device crashes on scanBarcode().
Accordingly to the logs XDK uses intel.xdk.device v1.0.7. There is no such release at github.
New commit was pushed at the same time we began getting the crash that's why we decided that commit had a trouble. But now we see that XDK uses v1.0.7 and we don't know if it was changed few days ago.
We tried to use local and web plugins (1.2.6-dev from web, 1.2.5 and 1.2.4) and got the same error (the app crashes attempting to use barcode scanner).
But it makes sense now because XDK used to use 1.0.7 (we can't check 1.0.6 because it's not in git)
We also checked Cordova version — it's 3.6.3
-
We switched to Android without Crosswalk and everything works fine here, barscanner works properly (with native intel.xdk.device). Btw in this case XDK uses 1.0.8 release of intel.xdk.device.
Cordova version due to setting page is 4.1.2
We tried to setuo 3.6.3 but got an error that 3.6.3 is not supported but XDK. -
Sometimes local pluging was a reason of build crashes. But we couldnt stable reproduce this.
-
XDK EA doesn't work at all. Error window eternally comes up asking to rerun XDK.
Looks like it's not a problem of plugin, something has been changed in Remote Intel Builder which causes this bug.
p.s. why does XDK builder use such old plugin?
