Code | Design button missed

Hi guys.

Recently i was working on my XDK app but suddenly my computer died, i manage to recover all the files of my app, including the .xdk and .xdke files. 

I stored that project files and then copied it into another laptop, installed XDK in the machine (version 3400 for OS X) and opened the .xdk file to continue working on some screen layout and button adjustements, but when i opened the "develop" tab the code/design button doesn't appear as usually. I opened all the possible files, including the index.html but i can't manage to get the code/design button to be displayed. What can i do? I must write all of my application from scratch?

  • create a new blank App Designer project that uses the same UI framework as the old project
  • exit the XDK
  • copy your www directory from the old project into the new project
  • start the XDK
  • open the new project
