Code for connecting over internet in IoT

Can someone please help me with the code of connecting over the internet. Thank you

It depends on the type of board you are  using. If you are using Intel Edison, please refer section "Connect Edison to Wifi" in https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-23147 to connect to a wi-fi network. For Intel Galileo, you need to either use a Wifi card or a LAN cable for connectivity. Please refer https://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2014/03/13/configuring-wifi-for-the-intel-galileo-board for more details.

Not clear what you ask for: Are you asking how to send data to the cloud?
