Connecting two RealSense F200 to one PC - driver issue.

Hi,

I read that the current SDK supports multiple cameras.

I tried to connect two cameras to one PC, but only one of them works at a time.

Is there a special installation process for every additional camera?

I reinstalled both DCM and SDK while both cameras connected, thinking it might help, but it stayed the same.

Following is the device manager print screen while the two cameras connected:

It seems like the Camera Virtual Driver is only installed once. Were others are installed twice.

Maybe this is the problem, Is there a way to install it?

Any suggestions are welcome,

Thanks,

Yuval

Only one camera (of either 2 F200 or 1 each F200/R200) is supported at a time.  One DCM should work for both (as long as you don't use them together).

Can you let us know where you saw that 2 were supported at the same time?

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for your reply,

I read it on a few threads, for example the following one:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/topic/368087

Maybe I misunderstood.

So can I switch between the two cameras programmatically? Basically I am trying to create a 3D scanner for static objects, so a good solution can be to 3D scan with the first and when it is done with the second.

Another issue maybe you can point me in the right direction,

How to unite the two 3d scans that I have into one object.

I was thinking eventually to reach to 3 or maybe 4 cameras together, but I understand it is not possible.

Thanks,

Yuval

Hi Colleen,

Are there any plans to enable this in the future?

It is very much possible:

The question is whether you will allow it through the SDK?.

All the best,
