DH77 motherboard

I am attempting to get KNC (7120) working in a Win7 x64 system that is based on a DH77KC motherboard.

System boots and I can get into Windows, but the card is not usable, because it is listed in the device manager with a status: "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)"

It is the only card physically plugged into the motherboard (I'm using integrated video). I've disabled most nontrivial devices through BIOS, up to & including front panel USB, with no effect.

Previously I got the same card working in a different system, and, to do that, I had to toggle a BIOS setting that had something to do with "above 4G decoding" (not sure of the exact wording.) This system does not have any such configuration parameter. I made sure to get the latest BIOS firmware, which is still 2 years old.

Is there anything else I can try, or am I screwed?

One other motherboard where I could try to put this card in is DX79SI. (Which is also a fairly old motherboard, I have a Sandy Bridge-E CPU installed in it at the moment.) Is that one worth a try or am I going to run into the same problem?
