Hi i have some huge issues with the F200 camera and windows hello.

When i go to the configuration of windows hello. I enter my pin the camera starts but only for like 3 secs and with black and white image then the picture freezes and nothing else happens.

OS is windows 10 Professional English 64 bit.

driver used is 1.4.27.41944 with sdk 6.0.21.6598
in the device manager under imaging devices its listed 3 times
F200 Depth
F200 RGB
Camera virtual driver
and under Universal Serial Bus devices its listed as Intel realsens 3d camera front f200
it works just fine in other applications like skype, lync, taking picture with it and the dev apps works just fine as well.

Anyone haveing any ideas on what to do. Since i really want to get this to work. Any tips are apriciated.

Can you provide following info so I can help you find root cause?

1, what kinds camera did u have, peripheral or integrated?

2, what is FW version of your camera? You can find it via running SDK_INFO.

3, Can you run other sample apps in RealSense SDK?

Thanks!

Please update F200 DCM to latest version which is 52404. On windows 10 you can try updating depth driver from device manager by right clicking on F200 Depth device under imaging devices and selecting Update Driver -> Search for latest online. Thanks!

Hi David

At the moment im not haveing the sdk installed due to the fact that im not developing any software atm and someone told me that then you dont need the sdk. Yes i could run the sample apps in the sdk when it was installed.

Im trying to update the driver in the device manager as you said but it says im already on the latest one. And on https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-realsense-sdk/download it still shows the same versions of the driver and software that i have already installed.  I also tried updating the fw but it fails with a message that it couldnt find the camera.

Its a little anoying since i bought the camera specially for the windows hello function. so its a really expensive webcam for skype atm.

You should have DCM version 1.4.27.52404 if you use windows 10 update to update the DCM. Are you sure you have this version? Thanks!
