Face tracking from IR stream

Hi! 

I just wanted to find out if the realsense sr300 camera, is able to do its facetracking from the IR stream. For example, if there is a window behind you with bright lights where your face becomes near black on a color camera. On the IR camera, its still very clear and bright. So, can the realsense SDK perform face detection through the use of its IR camera instead of the color one?
