As of Jan 25, 2016 the version 2893 hot-fix release is being incorrectly flagged by some anti-virus applications. We are working with the anti-virus vendors on a solution to this problem. In the meantime, if you are not able to add an exception for the Intel XDK in your anti-virus software, you can try using the EA release.

We are aware of a false-positive virus detection associated with the Intel XDK. We are working to resolve this issue. We have no way to remove the false-positive, this can only be fixed by the anit-virus vendors. It appears to be due to a recently introduced node-webkit-based JavaScript virus that is resulting in an improper identification of the Intel XDK as infected. The Intel XDK is also a JavaScript node-webkit application.
For those who are having trouble with anti-virus software preventing them from downloading or running the XDK, try downloading the EA version. Our tests indicate that it is NOT being rejected by the anti-virus vendors. For more details and download info regarding the EA release see this post: https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-xdk/topic/606746 and the links within it.

Webroot just nuked my XDK. I'm downloading and installing 3088. I hope that's good.
