G45 on XP and H264 HW Acceleration

Hi all,
I wasn't able to make use of the H264 HW acceleration using Windows XP, while I did with Vista.
The SW I used was Media Player Classic with the last Cyberlink H264 Codec.
I was able to get good performance using the EVR on XP (just installing the .NET FWK 3.5), but I didn't get a real HW acceleration on XP. Anybody was able to make the H264 works in Windows XP?
Please share your experiences here.
