Hi,
Yes you are correct GMA500 gfx core is capable of supporting OGL 2.0 but none of the Windows Gfx driver for GMA500 is currently having OGL 2.0 support. So in case a user tries to run any OGL 2.0 based app then it shouldnt even launch.
In order to support OGL 2.0, gfx driver should provide Installable Client Driver (ICD) which is responsible for interacting with OGL apps (through Windows Opengl32.dll) to Gfx HW. There are also news that GMA500 team has started working on OGL 2.0 support, but will it be for GMA500 or later thats unkown.
