Guidance for purchase of Fortran Composer and IMSL Libraries

I have an academic colleague who wishes to purchase latest copy of Fortran Composer XE Studio plus IMSL Libraries

He uses windows 10.

Can anyone advise if both products can be purchased from Intel and if so what versions we should request?

Kind Regards

Alfred

Hello, David,

Yes, Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition for Windows* Fortran with IMSL* is available. Note that IMSL is only (optionally) bundled with Composer Edition specifically.
Professional and Cluster Editions are not bundled with it, although you should be able to purchase IMSL as a separate add-on for those editions; there's currently a bug preventing customers from purchasing IMSL as an add-on, but as part of the Composer Edition bundle it works just fine. For more information on that topic, you can read this other thread I've been involved in. As you asked about Composer Edition specifically I don't think that will be relevant to you, but it's there for completeness.

Version does not matter; when you purchase our products, you automatically get the most recent version and access to most, if not all, of the older versions.

To get the desired suite, you should purchase Intel® Parallel Studio XE Composer Edition. If you buy it from the "Buy Now" link on that page, you will be asked a series of questions. You should answer:

  1. Select Product Type: Product With Maintenance/Support
  2. Select Operating System: Windows
  3. Select Programming Language: Fortran
  4. Select License Type: (This one is up to you)
    1. (If you selected Floating, select your desired number of seats)
  5. Select Use Type: Academic (you mentioned this being for an academic colleague, so I assume you qualify; you can press the "help" button in the lower right corner during this step to see what the qualifications for academic pricing are)
  6. With Rogue Wave IMSL?: Yes

Does this help?

Glad I could help, David.

Should I close this thread? If I don't get a response by the 23rd I'll assume you've gone off on your merry way and close the thread. Let me know before then if you want me to leave it open for a while.

Edit: I never got a response, so I'm closing this thread. If you have a similar question, please create a new thread so we can get to you in a timely and efficient fashion.
