I found the thread "915GM with 1920x1200, possible?" (http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=57374) where instructions were provided for how to get a 915GM chipset to drive a 1920x1200 monitor, but I didn't understand the instructions, and a link with the information about how to make the changes in the igxp32.inf file was broken.
Can anyone describe how to do this? If it helps, my monitor is an NEC MultiSync EA241WM.

I may have posted this thread too soon. I just noticed the sticky thread at the top of this forum:Custom Resolutions for Intel Graphics: Made Easier. I'm reading it now, will post again later.

Okay, I've skimmed that thread. I know so little about graphics that I understood very little of it. I'll give it a much more careful read if I have to, but if someone already knows how to get 1920x1200 out of a T43 then help would be greatly appreciated.

After reading the sticky thread in detail and following it scrupulously I was able to get my T43 to drive 1918x1200. It can be done. Life is good.
