I get this error:
Error creating project: Error creating tmp directory: ENOENT, mkdir '/private/tmp/PKInstallSandbox.hv9O9q/tmp/tmp-9573572qplc'
Also when I use an existing Ionic app, I can not put a button bar in the bottom footer. There is no place to drop it except for on the sides.
I am using the latest update of Mac OS

There is an issue with fresh install/update, please restart your XDK, the problem should go away.

Thanks, I can create a new project now. But still not able to add a button bar into the footer on an Ionic project. It only has the two insert points on either side, not one in the middle.

Try to use individual buttons, instead of button bar. Once you put two buttons you can add another two adjacent to those on the side, you will see two bars when you try to drop a button. and you can change the width of the button to adjust according to how many you have. To change the width, under the Style menu, under Width drop down, create a new class for your button, and then you can define new width for the button.

I tried adding individual buttons but still with ionic it does not work, the buttons stay bunched up to one side. I am using Mac OS if that matters, on the most recent XDK.

When you first drag and drop buttons, they will be bunched up on side, but as I mentioned in the previous post, change the width of the buttons so that all the buttons together occupy the full device width, then you will see equally spaced buttons.
