Hi,
I've got a noncommercial licence code for IPP libraries and have run through the install .sh scripts as instructed (on Ubuntu 9.10).
When it asks for the licence number, I enter it, press return, - no response, just sits there.
Its like its trying to communicate with somewhere that isn't responding (presuamably some reomote license checker?)
Can't find anything else reported on forums like this except under Windows.
Help much appreciated, am completely stuck now.

Greetings,
Have you tried the option to provide the license file instead of the serial number?
You should have received a license file when you registered.
Place the license file in the default location: On Linux* /opt/intel/licenses/
When installing, choose the option to provide the complete path to the license file.
If you have not registered the serial number, please go to https://registrationcenter.intel.com.
Enter your enail address (twice) and your serial number. you will then receive your license file.
Chuck
