However, when I try installing the compiler, and type the provided serial number, I obtain:
"The serial number you provided is not valid for this product."
Thank you

I just sent you the license by email that contains the SN. If you think you still have problems then try the following:
1. Save the license file I sent you in a directory. Make sure the license file is saved with the .lic extension (that it already has).
2. Try install again. This time choos the alternate/license file option, and give the complete path to the above license file that you saved in step1.
3. The install should go through fine. Let me know if the install was successful this time around, thanks.

I did what you said, and there is no alternate/license file option to choose from.
Thanks in advance

"The license file(s) you provided is not valid for this product."
Thanks

Agus,
You might try placing your new .lic license file in the directory /opt/intel/licenses. Please also be sure you are installing with admin privileges, and installing into a directory where you have write/delete privileges.

I just requested the Registration Center to email you a new .lic license file, so please delete all other Intel Fortran Linux license files from your system, then copy the one attached to this latest email to your system.
But before you trying re-installing, pleasereview the following:
1. What isthe full name of the Intel Fortran Linux binary file you are attempting to install? The name would be something like l_cprof_p_11.1.069.tgz. If you download your Fortran Linux product files from Intel's Registration Center's downloads, please also download the Release Notes PDF file.
2. Which Linux operating system and level are you installing on?
3.Please review the System Requirements and Installation sections in the Release Notes PDF to ensure you have a properly configured system that is running a version of Linux we support, and has the appropriate gclibs etc. installed?
4. When you try re-installing your Intel Fortran Linux product file, follow the Installation instructions. If entering the serial number for the license does not work, try using the license option where you provide the full directory path to the .lic license file and be sure to include the .lic license file name in that full path, for example /opt/intel/licenses/NCOM_L_CMP_FOR_abcd-12345678.lic
Thank you,
Bonnie

Hi Agus,
After making sure what Bonnie has suggested you to do (that you have the right package for the right OS etc), if you still encounter the same error message, I suspect that the license file may be corrupted when you transferred from windows on to your system? The license file in our registration center looks fine and should be fine in the email it was sent to you also).
You can do the following to make sure the license file is valid firstly:
1. Run the chklic command on the license file as follows (chklic.em64t for example is for Intel 64, chklic.32 for IA32 etc, is found in the pset directory under the package: ex: l_cprof_p_11.1.069_intel64/pset/chklic.em64t )
% ./chklic.em64t -c
You'll get a dump of the license file with features etc... as below. Then it's a valid file. If not, it's not valid.
%./chklic.em64t -c ../../COM_L_CMP_FOR_T3LT-L7C76X9T.lic
License file = <../../COM_L_CMP_FOR_T3LT-L7C76X9T.lic>
------------------------------------------------------------------------
feature name: IBFD56E38 (INCREMENT line)
.........
------------------------------------------------
If you don't get a proper dump, then the license file is corrupt..
You can then do the following:
-> you can cut and paste the text from "License File" you got in emailinto a text file. Use a straight text editor like 'vi' or 'vim' and NOT a word processor. Save the file with extension ".lic" as straight ASCII text (no formatting). Any name will do like "myfort.lic" or whatever, with a .lic file extension.
Run the chklic command againto make sure thelicense file is valid. If valid, then try the install again (usingtheoptionto give the license file path like you did before). Hopefully,it should work fine. If not, please let us know what error you're getting if at all?
