Installation of Fortran Visual Studio Composer XE 2013 - Registration fails

Hi there, I cannot install my Visual Studio Fortran XE Composer due to licening issues. I purchased the license two years ago. Can anyone explain to me why I am not allowed re-install a software product if I change the hardware? The intel-support homepage is abolutely horrible! It seems as if Intel tries everything to prevent people from contancting their support directly. Congrats Intel! I did not find a link to a contact form. Cheers, Andreas

Andreas,

I'm very sorry for the problem. Let me check your registrations first. I'll come back to you as soon as possible with instructions.

Regards, Hubert.

Andreas,

I'll provide a direct download link for the latest version you are eligible to obtain (as of your support subscription) in a private message.
I see also that your registration is incomplete which may have been the reaons for the login failures.. I'll fix that too.

Regards,
Hubert.

Dear Hubert,

Thanks for the new license file. But another issue raised when trying to apply the new license file. As I meanwhile installed the Compiler and Visual Studio with 30 days trial-license I have to active the product via the intel software manager. There, I only can activate the product online and not via the license file. The online activation is no option due to network restrictions in our company. Hence, probably the only is a re-installation of the entire software. Is that correct, or is there any chance to activate the already installed software with the ne license file?

Regards,

Andreas

Andreas,

No, you don't need to re-install anything (unless you will encounter another problem not related to licensing).

Don't use the Intel® Software Manager here; just copy over the license file I sent you into the license directory: c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Licenses\

Regards, Hubert.
