Dear all,
I have been trying install from new, the mpss-3.2.1 for RedHat 6.5 version on a blade with Centos-6.5 for about 3 weeks now and still can not configure it properly. Failure points are the MTU of the br0 which always return to 1500. Second one is disability to access the server from network after setting the bridge br0. The server link to the office network is only through main card eth0 (10.10.1.10) which has a mic card. which can only be controlled through a work station (IP: 10.1.161.10). The blade is controlled by a workstation (10.1.161.9). I have followed the steps suggested but the the results are the same, as follows:
- br0 MTU can not be changed to 9000
- mic0 MTU persitently takes a value of 9500 after I made a mistake in typing
- br0 can not accessed from network
Following are the settings I want to make:
- Since eth0's IP address will be taken by br0, br0 will be the way to the blades (actually we have to blades) (Is this correct?)
- br0 ip will be 10.10.1.10
- mic0 ip 10.10.1.254, mic-host ip 10.10.1.254
- all with correct MTU (9000).
I am not a networking pro, so would somebody give me a direction? Sorry for my language.
Regards.
Mahally

Some questions and comments
- Can you connect to the MIC via minicom and access /etc/network/interfaces? What does it say?
- “mic0 ip 10.10.1.254, mic-host ip 10.10.1.254” – all IPs must be unique
- What’s the contents of /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-[br0,eth0,mic0] ?
- Re-applying micctrl commands should overwrite previous settings – typos should therefore be easy to fix. If this fails in certain circumstances, please file an error report with premier
Regards
Michael
