Hi,
I'm having problems with a downloaded file for Intel Visual Fortran Compiler Professional Edition 11.1.067 Update 7 for Windows. When the file is executed, I get the message:
Error while extracting file ...\\data1.cab
Zlib library error (data error).
I'm installing on a 64-bit machine and intend to use command line only. I have .NET Framework 4, Visual C++ 2008 Express and SDK v7.1 already installed.
I'd be grateful for any help!

The downloaded fileset is most likely corrupt on your side. Pls. compare the checksum of the files you downloaded. If it doesn't match try downloading again, or usethe download manager or another Browser.

Thanks Hubert. The size of the fileI downloaded (W_CPROF_P_11.1.067_NOVSHELL.EXE) is different. There seems to be an error with the download site at the moment but I'll try again when possible.
Can I just quickly check that just that single file is sufficient for an x64 system (not Itanium)? I guess I could also try the file ending INTEL64as an alternative - is that right?

For an Intel 64 system (64-bit, not Itanium) the file w_cprof_p_11.1.067__intel64.exe is sufficient. It contains the64-bit compiler only and requires an existing Visual Studio installation.
The files on our download repository are ok anddouble-checked against corruption.I think there are (temporary) download problemson your side.
If you however need the Visual Studio 2008 Shell and Libraries (in case you don't have an existing Visual Studio installation), you need to download the full package w_cprof_p_11.1.067.exe that includes all compilers (32/64bit, Itanium) and the VS08 Shell.
Does this help?
Hubert.

Yes, this is very helpful - thank you. I don't seem to have access to the full package (I think this is because I have a student license). But I do have Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition installed - my understanding is that this is sufficient. Please do correct me if I'm wrong though!

Visual C++ 2008 Express is supportingthe 32-bit platform on command line only, so you need to install the 32-bit Fortran Compiler (file w_cprof_p_11.1.067_ia32.exe).

Hi Hubert,
I am also having a problem downloading w_cprof_p_11.1.067.exe. The same as victor, when I download the file size is different than the indicated 883 MB (downloads as 681MB). I was able to successfully download and install w_cprof_p_11.1.067_novsshell.exe on one of our machines that has Visual Studio but when trying to install on a machine without Visual Studio I get an error message that the files cannot be extracted (both are 32-bit machines). I have tried the download 3 different times on 2 different machines all with the same result, although the final file size is different each time. Any help/suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.
Elizabeth
