Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question

This question has been asked before. So I'm using Intel Power Gadget on Skylake processor, linux . Will the Intel Power Gadget not work on this?

Since I'm getting the error "RAPL not supported or machine model 506e3 not recognized " . Can this be solved?

Please tell me!

This is not really the right place to ask such a question, but....

the Linux version of PowerGadget is hopelessly outdated and supports only up to Ivy Lake cpus: no support for Broadwell/Skylake/Kaby Lake/KNL etc etc.  It is probably not a lot of work to add support for these CPUs, but I don't know who'd be willing to do this.
