Is there a single preferred tool to create image files?

I am planning to create an app targeting iPhone and I would like to know if there is a single tool for creating all these launch icons and splash screens (there appears to be a bewildering number of them).

Is it possible to just create an app for, say iPhone 6 and iPhone 5 only so that the number of images needed are reduced?
Is it possible to give a different name to the app than the project name?

Hi,

What I'm using for IOs images is McIcon, http://falu.co.uk/software/McIcon/ is not complete because changes on IOS requirements, but it do the most of the work.

I´m not sure, but I think you can make an app only for some targets and provide that images, if it is installed on an Ipad it will acomodate to the provided images.

You can set the name of the app in Project - Build settings - iOS, App name field.

Diego

Indeed. This is an excellent tool. I should know, as I tried to create manually with Paint.NET.

Thanks a lot.
