License file nor serial number will work with newest Composer XE

I am trying to install Composer XE 2013 SP1 1.106 using a serial number that has support through Sep 2014 and I am getting the following errors:

The serial number you provided is not valid for this product.

or

The license file(s) you provided is not valid for this product.

Any ideas why this would be happening?

Having the same problem and posted it last week on this forum.  Intel is suspiciously silent and has yet to post a response.

Solved my problem.  In my case, it turned out to be because /tmp was not executable. After launching the installer with -t /usr/tmp, it worked fine.
