License issue during non root compiler installation

Intel e-mail notified me of the new update to the 11.1/069 compilers I am licensed to use. I logged into my Intel account and downloaded the the gzipped tar files.

When I try to do a non root install, the install script prompts me for my product serial number XXXX-XXXXXXXX. When I enter my valid serial number, the installation fails with

Installation can not create license folder. Please go to
www.intel.com/software/products/support/ for your support options.

Please press "Enter" to try again:

I installed the same compilers on my local workstation that has access to the license server as a non root user with no problem.

I thought as a non root user, the install script would prompt me for a user specified installation directory. How do I specify a user supplied install directory with user permissions to allow the creation of the license folder?

Greetings,

My assumption is because you are using the serial number and not the license file. Please try using the license file and let me know if the results are same or different.

Thank You

Hello,

I am having a similar problem. However, when I try to get a licence file from here, I get this error when I try to log in.
