We installed IVF to a Win7 pc, then the disk crashed and had to be replaced. We used a MAC address to generate a node locked license. Do we need a new license file? If so, how do I ask for one?

Hi Ray,
If your license is a named license (formerly called single-user license), you may simply install IVF with your existing license file or serial number. If your license is a floating license and your Win7 PC is a license server which maintains this license, you will need to update this floating license with your new MAC address & new host name. Please feel free to send me a message with your serial number, if you don't know the type of your license.
Thanks.

So, would I add the host id of the new computer in the manage License section of Registration Center to be able to install on a new PC?

The last couple of Licenses we have received have been "SystemLocked". These don't move to other PCs as easily. Can I affect the License type? Named-user would be more flexible. We often have difficulty transferring the working copy of fortran to a new PC. There is often limited or non-existent Internet access, making the process much more difficult. Moving the license file for the Named-user licenses is a convenient method when we have to change the PC with the compiler.

Hello,
It is very easy to generate a license file for offline installation for each system. (There is a limit of 3 systems as per EULA). Please follow the steps listed in this article:
Please let me know if you need help with any of the steps.
Regards,
