I have 2548 installed (latest) and testing over wifi works as it should with iOS and Android.

I was affraid of such answer... :(

Still, both of mine devices access internet through wifi and are in the same subnet as PC but preview wont start on both of them.

For example, cocoon JS local wifi preview works flawlessly.

Is there anything i can do (besides pointles clicking on that update server button) to make it work becouse alternate server upload testing is quite exhausting i must say.

Thank you.

was joing going to open a thread for this as well. preview not working since latest xdk update. I use cable and it still complain on wifi. xdk doesn't recognize my device. clicking the help buttons in the xdk of both android and ios do nothing.

Got it working after multiple retries.

Just for the record, using App Preview to test over wifi is NOT the same debugging using a USB cable to debug. These are 2 completely separate ways to test your app.

right. I tested wifi preview to check if I have the issue reported here and it works for me.

sinisa, a tip i can suggest is maybe remove the check from "run intel xdk server" and check it again and if see if you'll get a popup from Windows asking if to approve opening a listening port. in any way rechecking the checkbox seems to use a different port each time so it might solve the problem for you by just using a different port.
