We have installed two C0 stepping 3120A cards on a Dual-Xeon Serverboard.
While MPSS-3.4.1 installation failed for the F20 update kernel (we tried kernel-headers-3.16.7-200.fc20.x86_64), everything (incl. flashing the cards) went well for the release kernel version 3.11.10. -without patching anything.
Since we do not use inifiniband we are fine. However rebuilding the ofed drivers with
rpmbuild --rebuild ofed-driver-3.4.1-1.src.rpm
failed with
include/uapi/linux/types.h:4:23: fatal error: asm/types.h: No such file or directory
likely because the kernel headers mutate (too) fast.

You say you installed MPSS 3.4.1 on a Fedora F20 system by reverting to a 3.11.10 kernel? Which of the files from the mpss-3.4.1/modules directory did you use? When someone is using the one of the supported kernels, the install directions have them use uname to identify the appropriate files (mpss-modules-{version}.rpm and mpss-modules-dev-{version}.rpm) and copy them up to the mpss-3.4.1 directory. There are files for kernels 3.10.0-123 and 3.12.21-2 but not 3.11.10.
As far as the missing asm/types.h, did you install the full kernel development environment when you installed Fedora? Sometimes that file is hiding in there.

Sure, I have rebuilt the kernel modules. Finally I installed
mpss-modules-3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64-3.4.1-1.x86_64
mpss-modules-dev-3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64-3.4.1-1.x86_64
The F20 release kernel development environment did it flawlessly.
I also tried the ofed-driver rebuild (although we will not use infiniband) and the types.h were missing.

Seems a similar issue as https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/intel-many-integrated-core/topic/609589.
Did someone solve this problem?

Geert
