Intel XDK is currently tested and developed to run on Mac OS X 10.8 and newer. With Mac OSX 10.6.8 being 7 years old, I don't recommend running Intel XDK on this OS X version.

The product depends on node-webkit which I doubt can be guaranteed to work on such an old version of OS X. Also, the older versions do not work well with the new plugin handling, so they are not advised for new work. There have been significant changes to the Cordova project, and only our most recent versions work properly with those changes.

Do you have access to a Windows or Linux machine? The features of the XDK are the same, regardless of the platform.

The only versions that are currently supported by our build system were released two years after that version of OSX. We do not have a version that is guaranteed to work. Sorry, considering the price of the product (free) we are not able to guarantee proper operation on old platforms.
