Hi everyone!
One of our RealSense devices stopped working with Unity.
It works with the RealSense sample project binaries, just not in Unity.
Not even in the default Scene Perception unity sample scene provided by Intel.
It just says "Setup Failed", with the grey "CameraRGBViewer" plane, no video background.
It was working just fine before I calibrated the device, followed by which I restarted the Windows tablet.
The funny thing is, our other RealSense device works completely fine when plugged in.
I was wondering if there's something different between how ScenePerception works in the C++/C# Samples vs. Unity, and if something could affect one RealSense but not the other.
Here are the steps I took so far to identify the issue:
- Ran game build with possibly defective RealSense - didn't work.
- Plugged in different RealSense camera on the same machine to check for issues, - game worked fine.
- Ran calibration again on possibly defective RealSense. (It said device was healthy.)
- Ran game build with possibly defective RealSense - didn't work.
- Connected the possibly defective RealSense to another Windows tablet, - it didn't work. (Other RealSense camera is working with no issues on that device.)
- Ran some RealSense SDK sample prebuilt binaries on possibly defective RealSense - didn't work.
- Restarted machine.
- Ran RealSense SDK sample prebuilt binaries with possibly defective RealSense camera - worked!
- Ran Unity game build with possibly defective RealSense - it didn't work.
- Ran game in Unity Editor play mode with the possibly defective Realsense, - didn't work.
- Prebuilt binaries still work with the possibly defective Realsense.
- Ran the default Unity Scene Perception sample with the possibly defective RealSense - didn't work.
- Unity Editor play mode and builds work fine on both machines with the other RealSense.
Both machines are running SDK 6.0.21.6598 & Depth Camera Manager 1.4.27.32425.
Thanks!

Hard to tell what the problem is.
You could try setting all the parameters of the camera to the default ones. Maybe there is a setting on that particular camera that does not play well with Unity.

Hi Sebastian,
Thanks for the quick response!
Couldn't find parameters for R200 yet.
I tried running IVCAM but the app crashes on start. (I think it's for F200 only?).
Thanks!

Yeah, IVCam is just for F200 at the moment as R200 uses another hardware...
Good to hear that your camera is working now!
