Hi guys. I can`t even install RealSense SDK Gold. After launching installer I got this : "One of the installer plugins is not loaded." What does it mean?

Hi Andrey,

Make sure to download the full offline installer (around 1.4 GB), and not use the web setup package.

Try uninstalling any current installation, and then re install from the full installer. That may solve your problem.

This error pops up when I use online installer and when I use offline installer. Also I can`t uninstall current installation, because this error is all I saw so far.

Could you send us the installation log to us for further investigation? You can find the installation log @C:/Users/<user>/AppData/Local/Temp/micl_tmp_<user>. Installer logs are arranged in dates and sequences. Zip and collect the right logs. Thanks!

Hello!

Some of the RealSense SDK plugins have dependencies with Microsoft Media Foundation DLL`s.

Microsoft Media Foundation enables the development of applications and components for using digital media on Windows Vista and later. (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms694197%28v=vs.85%29.aspx)

But some of Windows 8, 8.1 (N, KN) versions not included Windows Media Player and related technologies (Media Foundation etc.) (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2703761)

Maybe Andrey O. and Alberto P. face with current issue and use N or KN Windows versions?

Installing the Media Feature Pack for Windows will add to the N and KN versions required components, and maybe solve this issue.

Windows 8.1 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40744

Windows 8 - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30685

Thank you ILKA,

It works!

The only drawback, it-s that we already lost 5 effective days, so from now on we are just starting the Intel challenge :-(

Hi Alberto,

Sorry for that. We will make sure appropriate warning for missing Media Foundation pack (it's needed for core camera functionality) will present in future versions.
