Parallel Studio 2016 error: (This platform not authorized by license (-89,337))

We downloaded the new Parallel Studio 2016 and our new license file and installed the product and updated the license server to use the upgraded file but we get a license error:

License check failed
    Fri 23 Oct 2015 04:26:44 PM PDT  Intel VTune Amplifier XE 2016 cannot find valid license. Data cannot be displayed.
 
Error 0x4000001f (No valid license) -- The license is unavailable. Make sure that your license file contains the license for the requested feature. If your license requires a license server, make sure that the server is using the right license file, and you have not changed the license file since starting the server.

If we look at the license server log we see errors like this:

 9:54:11 (INTEL) DENIED: "IF83F2F10" xyz@foo??.bar??.com  (This platform not authorized by license (-89,337))

How can we fix this issue?

I can't upgrade from Parallel studio xe fortran for OS X 2015 to 2016. During installation i got the following message:

This is a known issue and it is being fixed in Update 1. Unfortunately, there is no workaround other than waiting for the update. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience with this.

This is a known issue and is being addressed. If you have a similar issue, do not add it to this thread but start a new one.

Update 1 is available for download from Intel Registration Center. The fix for the original issue is included in Update 1. Please let me know if you need help.
