Hello, i am looking for any documentations that explain how the RealSense Camera work.

it the camera based on the same technique of the kinect (structured-light)?? what is the difference between the kinect and the realsense?

why the realsense max range is only 120cm, when the kinect range is about 5m when they work with the same technique and principal??

is there any documentation of how does it work like this kinect documentation?

RealSense is based on structured light. Similar to how the Kinect 1 works. The newer Kinect 2 uses time of flight, which is a different technique.

You can think of RealSense as a small, easier to use mobile version of the Kinect 1. (Oversimplification of course).

You can read more about how the F200 works here:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/realsense/topic/537872

The R200 works in a different way though.
