Question number 1 - Problems XDK installation on virtual machine with windows 7 32 bit. The virtual machine has only the operating system without any other program. When installing the program opens and closes after a few seconds.

Question number 2 - To use the XDK you must be connected to the internet and have to log in?

Answer1:

If you are having trouble getting the XDK to run (it hangs) and removing and re-installing doesn’t work, etc:

One suggestion is to delete your global-settings.xdk file. Apparently there is an issue where an empty or corrupted global-settings.xdk file will cause the behavior you are seeing. You'll find it in the same place you found the xdk.log file.

Answer2: Yes you need to have internet at least for the very first time which will be required  to create new account. And yes you cannot use XDK without creating an account.

Hello Amrita, thanks return,

I downloaded again and try to install in the virtual machine appears the splash screen and closes after a few seconds without any message. I tested on another PC and it worked. The other computer operating system is 64-bit and updates and installed programs. It is necessary beyond the operating system or some other program update so that it works. For example, service pack, system is 64-bit.

The basic requirements to run the XDK are Windows 7 or greater, 32-bit or 64-bit. It's possible you may have insufficient RAM or disk space in your virtual machine (I do not know what those minimum requirements are, but I would estimate you need at least 2Gig of RAM and 1Gig of free disk space for the XDK install and cached files).

Which virtual machine manager are you using? What is your host operating system? I have done this successfully using VMware. My experience is that Virtual Box is very buggy and not as reliable. We usually recommend that when users run in a virtual machine they build an Ubuntu virtual machine and then run the Linux version of the XDK inside that Ubuntu virtual machine.
