Just as we enabled the Windows Phone 8.1 build tab Microsoft "changed the rules" on how to build an app for submission to the Windows App Store. Follow these instructions to be sure that your Windows 8 and/or Windows Phone 8.1 app package can be submitted to the Windows App Store.
- Log into your Windows Dev Center dashboard.
- Select Account Settings in your dev center dashboard.
- Under Account Details, find your Windows publisher ID (starts with "CN=").
- Copy the GUID (after the "CN=") into both Publisher ID fields in the Build Settings section of the Windows tab on the Projects tab.
- Copy your Publisher display name into the Publisher Display Name field and the Author field in the Windows Build Settings.
NOTE: it is very important that you use your Windows publisher ID. Do NOT use your Windows Phone publisher ID!
See the images below for examples showing where to get your GUID and Publisher display name from the Windows dev center and where to put them in the Intel XDK Windows Build Settings section of the Projects tab.
